Funding will support local Tennessee manufacturing and job creation while scaling technology for global deployment.
FRANKLIN, Tennessee. (September 10, 2024) – Enexor BioEnergy has been selected by Launch Tennessee to receive funding through the FY25 SBIR/STTR Matching Fund program. The initiative awarded $9 million to 40 Tennessee companies that previously secured federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants.
The program strengthens early-stage innovation by pairing federal funding with state-level support to accelerate commercialization. Funding will support continued development of patented Bio‑CHP systems, which convert organic and plastic waste into clean, on-site power and thermal energy.
“We are excited to receive this support from Launch Tennessee,” said Lee Jestings, CEO of Enexor. “These resources will help us scale our waste‑to‑energy systems, validate new technology models, and expand our impact across Tennessee and beyond.”
Enexor was selected as part of the Middle Tennessee cohort, alongside companies working in clean energy, sustainability, advanced technology, and life sciences. The funds will support research, prototyping, and manufacturing at the company’s facility in Franklin.
This award underscores the rising demand for scalable clean energy solutions and highlights Tennessee’s growing role in the global energy transition.
